TO. Canvas Competition

Free painting competition for children aged from 4 to 12 on Sunday, February 10th, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m for the winning prize of $100 DeSerres gift card.

We had the pleasure of working with five brilliant post secondary students of Toronto from University of Toronto, OCAD University, York University, Seneca College, and Centennial College (Read more about them below). Those talented students gathered together on Tuesday February 19th picked out the Top 15 entries from all the paintings that were done on the day of competition.

The Top 15 paintings will be exhibited in the exhibition space at the Canadian Contemporary School of Art from Friday, February 22nd to Friday March 15th, 2019. Throughout the exhibition, all the local children are invited to vote for their favourite painting by putting a sticker underneath the painting.

The final winner will be announced on Friday, March 15th, 2019

All entries are available for purchase following the competition for $10 each. All proceeds are going to our nonprofit foundation to support the upcoming events and outreach. Those who wish to pick up their artwork are to do so at the site of the Canadian Contemporary School of Art on the first week of April (April 1st - April 6th, 2019) or it will be recycled.

Mehtap Mertdogan - Centennial college

Mrs. Mertdogan has worked in the finance sector for 30 years in Turkey, and started playing with mosaics 15 years ago as a hobby. Mehtap will graduate from Fine Arts at Centennial College in 2019. She enjoys working and helping children understand texture, shapes and colors and develop their artistic skills by mosaic.
