CCAF Creative Writing Contest 2024
Calling all young wordsmiths aged 7-12!
Join the CCAF Creative Writing Contest—a celebration of young storytellers! As a distinguished art
foundation, we believe in limitless creativity. We invite all young writers in Canada to share their
extraordinary tales on paper. This contest is about nurturing creativity and developing writing skills. Our
goal is to unlock young talents and inspire future authors in Canada. Let’s embark on a literary
adventure together, where every word counts!
Event Details
SUBMISSION dates: January 1, 2024 - March 30, 2024
award Ceremony: May 11, 2024
Eligibility: Open to all canadians ages 7-12
Theme:
With an open theme, participants have the freedom to craft stories that reflect their unique perspectives and showcase the boundless possibilities of storytelling!
Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners!
Prizes await the Creative Champs!
How to Participate:
Craft your story (Maximum 2000 words).
• Submit your entry to submission4ccaf@gmail.com by March 30, 2024. Please attach your submission as a PDF file and format the subject line as follows “FULL NAME - AGE - Submission”. Photos of handwritten stories will also be permitted if the participant is unable to type their story on a computer. Parents - please do not type your child’s story on their behalf.
• Await the results and join us at a spectacular award ceremony on May 11, 2024!
Creative Writing workshops will be offered in the weeks leading up to the submission deadline! Learn the fundamentals of short story writing, work on your submission piece in class, or receive feedback on your story before submitting.
