National Sculpture Competition 2022

The Canadian Children’s Art Foundation is excited to launch its first National Sculpting Competition entitled “PEOPLE”. For this theme children are asked to express their vision of what people may look like.

The entries will be evaluated in three age groups: 

  • Age group A: 4-8

  • Age group B: 9-12

  • Age group C: 13-17



Artwork will be juried by a distinguished panel of judges who are experts in their field and based on artistic talent, creativity and originality. The Canadian Children’s Art Foundation will reward the top 3 participants in every age group.

All final art pieces selected, including those of the winners, will have their works professionally published in CCAF’s book, entitled “PEOPLE”.

GENERAL REGULATIONS:

WHAT:

The Canadian Children’s Art Foundation 2022, National Sculpture Competition, People.

WHO:

Open to all students across Canada from the ages of 4 to 17. 

WHEN:

The competition submission will open March 1st, 2022 and it will be closed by April 30th, 2022. Winners will be announced on May 16th, 2022.

WHERE: 

Submissions are to be made to The Canadian Children’s Art Foundation 6 -109 Vanderhoof Avenue, Toronto, ON, M4G 2H7. 

At the time of competition closing, all the works will be judged by a panel of jurors consisting of three renowned professional artists for the course of one week. Submissions will not only be judged on artistic talent, but also on creativity and originality. Once the judges have made their decisions, CCAF will organize the art and publish Canadian Children’s Sculpture Competition’s second book, also entitled People, with each winner receiving a page recognition. The exhibition will be held in the Canadian Contemporary School of Art gallery, located at Unit 6 - 109 Vanderhoof Avenue, Toronto, On, M4G 2H7.

 

ART WORK’S REGULATIONS:

  • This is an online competition ONLY.

  • The number of artwork accepted is one per child.

  • Only 3-dimensional work is accepted.

  • 3 different angles of the sculpture should be included in submission.

  • Photos of the sculpture and submission form should be submitted in one e-mail using WeTrasnfer https://wetransfer.com/ to ccsa.sculpture@gmail.com

  • Photos should appear clear and high quality, blurry photos will not be accepted.

  • Digital sculptures are not accepted.

 

Artworks must be emailed to Canadian Contemporary School of Art by April 30th, 2022.

Each candidate must complete the submission form and e-mail the form with the artwork in the same e-mail.
